CHARCOAL DISCS

Three Kings’ Quick Light charcoal disks are for burning incense and ignite much quicker than other charcoal tabs on the market. 
They are odorless and have a smooth, long and even burn, and produce very little ash. Three Kings charcoal is made im Europe from 100% untreated natural beech wood leftovers from sustainable forestry. These 40mm charcoal disks come in a roll of ten.  Make sure to store the charcoal tabs in dry placce, ideally in an airtight container to prevent them from absorbing any moisture. 
 
HOW TO USE YOUR CHARCOALS 
You will need a heatproof bowl and a lighter or matches to start the self-igniting charcoal. It is best to add sand or ash to your bowl to help absorb the heat. It is recommended that you use charcoal tongs so you don't burn your fingers.

1. Light the charcoal and place it in your bowl. Hold the charcoal with tongs and apply flame to the side of the charcoal for about 20 seconds. The charcoal will then self-ignite across the surface. Charcoals do not usually light easily if they are laying flat on some surface or in a bowl. It is best to hold the charcoal in the air with a tool when applying the flame to the charcoal.

2. Wait for the charcoal to ignite and warm up. This usually takes about 3 minutes. You will notice the charcoal starting to go gray around the edges.

3. Add your incense powder. Sprinkle a small amount on top of the charcoal. The resins or herbs will begin to burn and release their essential oils through the smoke. Enjoy!
 
The charcoal will stay very hot for up to an hour and will gradually shrink until it turns to ash. Never leave a charcoal unattended. To extinguish submerge in water.
